The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford (UK) reopens today after a redevelopment project costing £61Million. The Heberden Coin Room within the museum houses a collection of approximately 300,000 coins and medals and has 7 academic staff. As a result of the redevelopment works the coin room now boasts a new Money Gallery and a state of the art coin store. There is also a seminar room.
